Healthy eating tips for Thanksgiving

The year end holidays season kick off with Thanksgiving meal, and many of us have more than one dinner to attend. With cold weather and great food, who could resist that and not overeating? You can, if you follow the expert's advice and tips.

  1. be mindful, aware of good food choices.
  2. do not skip meals and save room for the Thanksgiving dinner, you might end up eating more than you should. 
  3. drink more water, less sugary beverages and alcohols.
  4. don't skip your favorite food, just watch the portion, especially high fat and high sugar items.
  5. balance the dinner with meats and vegetables.
  6. eat slowly and stop when you feel satisfied.
