Year of Dragon, Ride with Dragon

That's right, I'm In! AIDS/LifeCycle 11 (June 3rd-9th, 2012) will be my 4th ride, peddling 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles!

Today I volunteered at the ALC 10 closing ceremony. I was assigned to the victory t-shirt tent, where me and 20+ volunteers helped giveaway a commemorative t-shirt too all participants (both riders and roadies) who have just completed the ride. I wanted to be in this group so I could meet all my friends, my heroes, when they stop-by to pick up their victory t-shirts.

Later I was reassigned to a different group, the stage! This was where the closing ceremony took place! Usually volunteers don't get to see the ceremony because they need to work 'behind the scene.' And I was lucky enough to get this new duty and witnessing the history making ceremony. This year, they've raised over $13 millions to help fight HIV/AIDS, it was said to be the new world record for fundraising event of its kind. Wow, so proud of everyone, they money will ensure all clients of the beneficiaries - SFAF and LAGLC, will receive the treatment and services they needed the most!

I did ALC 5, 6, 7, then took 3 years off. Now I think it's time for me to step in again, so I signed up! In fact, there are over 1700 people signed up already! I hope some of you will join me in this journey, if not, donate and support me!
